IAA (Instituto Astrofísica de Andalucía) and IAC (Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias) have integrate sucessfully the Engineering Model of the PLATO MEU. IAA has tested a complete MEU to verify the functionalities and power supply requirements with successful results.
Despite these accomplishments, the Engineer Model only requires 4 cameras and it is nearly ready to be delivered to the Consortium at DLR, which should forward it to ESA. Additional spare models shall be produced for LESIA Team and IAA.
